The city of Seal Beach is the gateway to Orange County. It is situated between Long Beach, to the north and Huntington Beach, to the south.
The pier was built in 1906 and is the main visitor attraction for those spending time at the beach and participating in water activities. The City of Seal Beach also has many parks and facilities with amenities to suit everyone’s needs. Enjoy the view of the beach at Eisenhower Park, let your dog run free at Arbor Park, or take a nature walk through Gum Grove Nature Park or your children can play at one of the 6 tot-lots just to mention a few.
The population of Seal Beach is just over 26,000 residents. It is well known for its retirement community, Leisure World, which is comprised of over 9,000 residents. Leisure World is a private guard gated community of homes with one and two bedroom apartments and condos. These Seal Beach homes overlook beautiful green belts and some also have golf course views. Although better known for its retirement community, along the Seal Beach coast you will find the community of Old Town which has many cozy beach cottages. There are also those premium waterfront properties that come with million dollar price tags and can be found in the guard gated community known as Surfside.
The Los Alamitos Unified School District serves students living in Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Seal Beach, Surfside, and small portions of Cypress and Long Beach. The Los Alamitos District is comprised of six elementary schools, two middle schools, one comprehensive high school, and one continuation high school. Thanks to high standards of achievement, our schools have been honored as California Distinguished Schools and National Blue Ribbon Schools.
